Beithir
Beithir (The Lightning Dragon)
The Beithir is described as “the largest and most deadly kind of serpent”, or as a dragon (but without certain typical European folklore draconic features such as wings or fiery breath). It dwells in mountainous caves and corries (valleys) and is equipped with a venomous sting.
Born from the head of a serpent that refused to die, the Beithir is a wingless dragon associated with thunderstorms and the raw power of nature. This piece features a long, sinuous skeletal
frame that mimics a lightning strike frozen in bone.
